Donal: "I live in the mid-west of Ireland, where a farmer needs a lot of luck to get a long period of dry weather in order to save his hay. In July 2019, I got such a period. This picture was taken on a beautiful hot summer's day. My brother had called round for a visit. I had just completed the preparatory work in the field - you can see that the machine had tossed the hay into fluffy lines. The hay was tinder dry and was ready for baling later in the day.
